E.K. Chan is a tattoo artist and biology enthusiast who doodled and daydreamed through a B.Sc. in evolutionary biology. They held odd jobs after graduating, including shelving at a used bookstore and illustrating for online paleontology courses.
Making the most of their odd skillsets, they began working as a tattoo artist in Toronto in 2017, where they are happiest laying lines in the shapes of plants and animals. Their favourite work is whatever plays most with scale and placement on the body, as well as most everything they've ever drawn for birders.
When not tattooing, E.K. can generally be found trying out all sorts of headache-inducing textile projects on their loom or sewing machine, or out on a walk with their dog, Cadre.
